RICH/LEAN display on AFS EFIS

I posted this on the AFS forum but this might also be a good place for an answer.

I have an AFS 5500T EFIS, in the pilot’s guide it describes showing the word RICH or LEAN status on the display. I have never seen either on my EFIS but perhaps I just haven’t noticed before. I do see percent power always displayed. Do I have to select a specific setting in the EFIS to be able to display RICH or LEAN status or is this automatic?

Yes, if you select the 'Engine' soft key, then you go an option for 'Lean'
Once in that mode, as you lean your engine it will display the degree that is LOP and which cylinder peaked first and which peaked last. it will list all four of them in the order they peaked.

AFS display

I have done the “Lean” assist mode to determine peak egt for each cylinder and it does work but I guess I never really looked for the words RICH or LEAN before. Is it only displayed when doing the ENGINE-LEAN mode?

It's always been there on my 5600. Maybe a 5500/5600 difference?
I know Rob would say "have you updated your firmware".
