Instrument Panel Top Angle

I can’t quite make it out from the drawings - does this angle attached to the top of the instrument panel seal against something, or is it purely there for stiffening and nothing else? Just wondering how perfect it needs to match the panel contours.

That angle needs to follow the contour as the TOP SKIN gets riveted to it. It helps to shape your "dash".

You may choose to add nut plates/plate nuts where the holes are in the photo if you later want the option of easily removing/replacing the panel.

Oooops!

Mel (as expected) is CORRECT!
And I should have remembered better as I fly a TIP UP, but I am currently immersed in the panel stuff of a SLIDER!

Thanks! I should have mentioned I'm indeed building a tip-up. I got the angle to follow the contour fairly well, but it's a little flat in spots at the most extreme curve, and I just wasn't sure if that really mattered enough to try again. Sounds like for the tip-up it shouldn't be a problem.
