Gear Leg Install

I am building a 9 (non-A) and when I insert the main gear, it slides in nicely, then hits a wall about 1/8" short of big able to get the cross bolts in the top. Anyone else have this issue? Am I just doing something wrong?

I ran into this same issue on my 9A because the powder coating was causing the leg to jam in the lower portion of the gear tower. Once I sanded off about 1/8" of the powder coat, it slipped in just fine.
