No nose gear != nose gear

The JetBlue landed on the nose gear, typically made of magnesium. It landed with the wheels turned 90 degrees and just ground wheels off.

The DC-9 you just posted landed on the aluminium body which typically doesn't create sparks.

Yes, I know it's an MD-(something) but they will always be DC-9's to me.
