Other unique features FWF: A larger oil cooler mounted on engine mount with cockpit airflow control, Tappet Roller lifters, Fire sleeves on injection lines, K&P Stainless Steel Micron Oil Filter, Bill Lane pressure plenum for Sam James cowling, Three layers of heat control on firewall:1ceramic blanket,1000’F 2 Fiberfax ceramic, 2300’F + stainless foil, on cabin side McMaster Carr alumina silica, 2000’F + stainless foil, new EarthX battery, Landoll Harmonic Dampener, Sam James cowling with Skybolt fasteners, canopy was Sikaflexed to frame.

With the Vetterman exhaust with mufflers, CATO prop and Landoll Harmonic Dampener, the engine runs very smooth and noticeably quieter than a strait pipe RV, as noted by my RV friends, whose aircraft are without this equipment.

Modifications/Additions: Flyboy Accessories:SuperTracks ( This system allows for easier entry and exit from the aircraft and easier access to the baggage compartment), Anti Splat Aero:Nose Job, Lip Skid, Oil Separator, EZ Cool Cowl Flap, Horizontal and Vertical Stabilizer brackets, Roll Bar Handles (helps getting in and out of aircraft), Bruce’s Custom Covers RV-7A canopy cover and 3 inlet plugs, Antisplat Aero RV Ultimate Gust Lock, ASA Jack Points, Van’s light weight Tow Bar, removable Tie Down rings

Service bulletins/Change notices that have been complied with: All four of the current service bulletins are in areas of flight control hinges and other high stress areas. It’s very likely the aircraft effected are those the are used for aerobatic flying. I have not done any aerobatic flying with this aircraft. I have inspected the covered areas during each annual condition inspection.

Old Crow sold in a week!! Thanks Doug for this great site for the Vans community. It was a huge help during my build and provided me with lots of great ideas and products for my plane.
