So I'm flying in some pretty decent rain last week, at altitude with OAT around 34 so no ice concerns. My heater door is closed and my vent is a little open and I start to get chilly so time to use the heater. I don't use the heater much here in S. Louisiana.
I felt a few little drops of water on my ankle.
The choices are either it came from the canopy somehow, or it came through the heater box. I'm inclined to think it came through the heater box because I couldn't feel any moisture up under the panel.
Of course by the time I landed everything dried out. No sign of water at the canopy or hinge seals I could identify.
Do I need a poll? Heater or canopy?
Good news is it was just barely noticeable.
