Which Cyclo to buy?

Time to buy a Cyclo. I borrowed a friends and it totally kicked butt on my nattily polished 8. Now he wants it back, and I'm not going back to my Harbor Freight random orbit polisher.

The one I borrowed is variable speed, and I tended to back it down a little from full RPM. When I look online it seems like all the new ones are single speed. Does this matter? Or should I hunt around for a variable speed model?

I've been polishing my Luscombe for about 15 years with a single speed Cyclo, without issue. Speed control is much more critical on compounding polisher, where the pad is staying in the same place and heating up the material. I'd vote for finding the best deal you can on whatever Cyclo you can find, and get back to polishing!
