Looks like there is a new SW version for the Garmin transponders that was just release a few days ago. Just wondering if anyone has installed this.

  • Improved display handling of the alert message dialog subpage
  • Updated ARINC 429 processing to expand ARINC 743A GNSS source compatibility
  • Added a new TCAS auto mode configuration option for the GTX 345(D)(R) and GTX 45R. For installations with TAS/TCAS I, this provides installers with the option to disable the automatic TAS/TCAS I system mode command for air-state transition. Auto TCAS mode is enabled by default.
  • Improvements to the software calibration procedure for units with internal AHRS (GTX 345 and GTX 45)
  • Improved the robustness of non-volatile memory data

For an E-AB aircraft, you can do the update yourself. Garmin includes the PC software tool (thank you again Garmin!) mentioned in the link that communicates with the 45R and updates its software. Easy peasy!
