RV-12 Kits not being updated

I have been watching Vans web site and have noticed that all models of Vans aircraft have updated except the RV-12. Does anyone have insight about why Vans has not updated the RV-12 kits? Natrually we can all speculate, but I’m mostly interested in any accurate information out there. Thanks in advance.

It’s because they have not settled the plans yet for powerplant and avionics kits. Word is they will send you a standard kit order form if you call them. Not sure why they have not updated that one yet on the website other than they have moved some stuff around in the kits that are likely third party parts and stuff is still in flux with those.

If figuring out the powerplant and avionics kits are the holdup... Greg Hughes stated (a few days ago) on this thread: https://vansairforce.net/threads/vans-business-update-january-20-2024.223835/

So, hopefully they'll get the powerplant and avionics sorted out soon, and then get their website updated to be able to order 12iS kits again.
