Each year for many years, we have conducted several Memorial Day Flyovers in SE Michigan. Memorial Day is for all of us to remember and honor those we lost in the defense of freedom. We plan to arrive at 22T (Tecumseh Mills) at 0730. Formation overflights are planned, first for the cemetery at Deerfield, then 3 passes over the parade at Tecumseh. From there we exit to the north for a fly over of Clinton. After Clinton, we are in route formation for a longer flight toward Milford for 2 overflights of the parade at Milford, then 2 overflights of the parade at nearby Harland. From there, we separate the flight in-flight, in a pre-arranged order so everyone can fly home.
The City of Tecumseh is graciously provides us with FREE FUEL, and a FREE BREAKFAST prior to our flight briefing and mass departure. We operate strictly with established formation rules. It is a busy flight and we will be in formation for about 1+15. If you are from southern Michigan, norhern Ohio, or northern Indiana, this might be a good formation event for you. Last year we had 6 airplanes in one formation. In previous years, we have had up to 8 airplanes, comprised of RVs, T-34s, and T-6s. Interested pilots should PM me with their formaton experience, questions, and contact information. I will also need your projected fuel requirement so they know how much 100LL to order.
