Anyone has a spare sniffle valve for my IO-360? And is there an alternative to such a valve?

I second the Airflow Performance manifold drain. With my Superior sump and cross-over exhaust, the Lycoming sniffle valve didn't fit well. The Airflow Performance product allowed for a better fit, and it is a dirt simple b-b in a standard looking fuel fitting.

Wow - that's a sniffle valve? I would have never guessed based on the website. I ended up just removing my standard sniffle valve and have not seen any trouble - when it was on, almost nothing ever came out. I have not parked my aircraft uncovered in a rain storm, which seems to be one of the main uses of a sniffle valve, it seems.

Drain excess fuel from the sump is the main reason, a backfire into a sump full of fuel can ruin your day.

I previously had the lycoming sniffle valve. The airflow performance one mentioned is much better. Probably a quarter of the weight, and much more compact.

Clean the OEM sniffle by soaking it in a jar of sump fuel.
IIRC, it should rattle...
