Heads up on the fit of the Ray Allen elevator trim servo - I laid out the attach brackets according to the measurements in the plans (quadruple checked that I didn't get them wrong), but those measurements end up putting the whole thing off-center. I don't know if the size of the servo has changed over time or if the dimensions in the plans have just always been wrong. I guess next task for me is making a new access cover and shifting things over.

I had the same issue on my RV-8. I ended up order a new plate drilling out the servo mounts and rebuilding. I ignored the dimensions in the drawings and mounted it "centered" I linked the thread below.

This isn't the first time dimensions on the plans have bitten me, and I'm sure it won't be the last. I found some scrap sheet the right size, so made a new access cover yesterday and moved the servo over 1/8". Much better now.
