Flap position pushrod...

I have my flap actuation system (torque arms and flap crank) ready to install and am working on my flap position pushrod.

Looking at pages 54-02 and 54-04, I'm having a difficult time visualizing the plane of the 45-degree lower bend. I just about have myself convinced that it's exactly the same as the upper 90-degree bend, but figured I'd check first.

If that's the case, is the pushrod sufficiently secure at its lower end? Doesn't seem like much holding it in there...

Just to close the loop on this:

I was correct in that the plane of the 45-degree bend is the same as the 90-degree's. I couldn't believe that it's as simple as that, but it is.

Onward!
