As mentioned in
this thread, I wanted to try putting my 2-year-old rear-facing in the front seat. I've done it for a few flights now, and I'm surprised how well it works. This is what I did, in case other families are interested:
- Removed the right stick
- Made sure I could see everything in the panel and could see and access the right door handle
- Put the airplane seat all the way back
- Did a solo test flight with the car seat installed, just to be sure everything works the way I expected it to.
- Used this car seat.
Remember that your primary job is to fly the airplane. I wouldn't try this with a kid that needed constant attention.
