Oshkosh arrival, any news from EAA?

Has there been any reports from the EAA about changes being made to avoid last year's arrival mess?

I was fortunate to be in the thirty something RV arrival last year, but the horror stories I heard about circling the lakes for hours were alarming!

I'm planning on taking my wife this year and we'll be making the Ripon arrival. I'd like some assurance that something has been done.

It sounded like the controllers were mostly at fault.
Making planes fly one mile in trail or more!

I've made the Ripon arrival many times over the past 10 years with no issues.

Anyone heard anything?

Thanks,
Mark

I asked the same question on the EAA Forum.

I do not blame the controllers. The Weather was the issue. Too much time that OSH was IFR caused a backup of VFR arrivals. The Wx that caused the IFR created rain and the rain was enough that they could not taxi aircraft off the runway into the grass. People like me held on the North Side of 09-27 over 30-minutes for ATC to stop arriving traffic so that we could cross. Instead of landing 6 or more aircraft at the same time, they were down to 2 or 3 when a runway was not fouled by an incompetent pilot.
