Rudder cable length

Attached rudder cables today and found way too much slack. Even with the cables mounted in the forward most hole on the adjustable link, the rudder ends of the cable extend appox. an inch and a half beyond the mounting hole on the rudder.
Rechecked the routing of the cables and all seems in order.
Anyone know the correct length of the cables, so I can measure and see if maybe mine are incorrect parts?

Never mind... overcome by stupidity. The rudder cables are not a "closed loop" so the only thing putting tension on them is two big feet.
