Locating landing light further inboard?

I noticed three dings in the LE skin about 36" from the outermost rib, obviously from dropped bucking bar (block)

Having a hard time figuring out how to get a bucking bar or block in there to back the skin while gently using a flat rivet gun set.

Would it be a structural no-no to make the landing light cut-out (4" x 4" or less) in that bay? It's about 68% out from the wing root.

RV14s have an access hole under the leading edge just in front of the spar for access to the AOA switch. Its located in the first bay outboard of the gas tank.
It looks very similar to the new upper w/s cowl access cover kit Vans sells.

Thank you Ralph.

That's a good data point!

I have a RV-14 USB stick. Will have a look at those plans.

Looked at the RV-14 plans. That access hatch is close to the main spar. I'm not going to make an access hatch just to smooth out the skin!

But if I could locate the landing light cutout (not the huge Duckworks hole, just a 4x4" or smaller cutout) in the LE of that bay, that's a different matter.

Waiting for reply from Van's support.
