Skin corrosion

It looks like my back riveting plate may have scuffed up my elevator skin at some point. There is now some light corrosion going on. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Scuff it with a scotch brite pad to remove the corrosion, then spray it with some primer.

Alodine (now called BONDERITE) can be used as an alternative to primer.
