Big Tires

So today my friend and I tried installing a brand new setup of 8.00 tires, and Matco wheels (6?) and Matco brakes on her RV7.
Unfortunately the brake assembly mounting bracket/plate I got is for a larger diameter axle, yet the Matco brake assembly part number (PH-1A) is correct for a RV.
Just wondering if anyone out there has pimped out their RV with big tires? that might know what appropriate bracket I need to which the brake assembly bolts to...
If I knew how to attach a photo I would!
