AFS 4500 Low Voltage Error

When I first turn on my AFS 4500 it is reading 3.7-3.8 volts and during engine idling and screen is dim. My battery is indicating 12.7-12.9 volts during idling taxiing. Sometimes during run up while checking mags the volts will jump to 12.8+/- and the screen will brighten up and will stay that way during the entire flight. Sometimes it will not come up until accelerating down the runway or the first few minutes of the flight. My battery and charging system are fine. Battery is strong after every flight and voltage is always in the 13 volt range. The rest of the panel acts normal, 430w, g5, 696, etc.

Thinking maybe an internal voltage reading issue? Any ideas are appreciated. Going to call Dynon/AFS this week but hoping someone has been thought this before.

When did you last replace your internal battery?
If it has been more than a couple of years I would try that before anything else.
