RV-14 Classic Aero Install

Would anyone have pics of their Classic Aero carpet & side/or side panel install prior to the seats going in?
I'm trying to determine what areas in the cockpit require finish paint.

These might help. :)

Pretty much everything forward of the rollbar is covered by carpet, seats, or side panels. The baggage floor has carpet in my plane, leaving only the baggage area side walls and aft bulkhead requiring paint. Nevertheless, without knowing this in advance, I painted the entire interior, except the firewall. Not much weight added and I suppose it does provide some corrosion protection.

My painted interior.

Here is a picture of my passenger side panel. Let me know if you need anything further. I can go out and snap a photo of whatever you need.

Did the seat heat buttons come with the interior or did you buy those separately?

I ordered heated seats and Classic Aero supplied the heated seats and the switches to me. I had them send the switches directly to Aerotronics to install into my panel.

Brian or anyone else,

How did you attach the upper hinge to the back of the seat? There is a plastic piece currently attached. Did you use their screw holes or make new ones? Screws or Rivets?

The upper hinge is not attached to the Classic Aero seat. It uses its own seat back, rather than the Van’s metal seat back. The Flight Designs seat back does use the metal seat back for support.

The plastic piece rests on the crossbar. This does take away some of the adjustability, but with the plastic piece resting on the crossbar it is quite comfortable for me (6').

Ok Thanks. I thought I have seen installations with the hinged adjuster used with the Classic Aero interior.
