Garmin 375 to HDX

Eskalada

I'm New Here
Hello everyone,
I’m looking for wiring advice for my panel upgrade. I have an RV6a and I’m replacing my D100 with Dynon HDX. I’m also replacing my Apollo SL60 with a Garmin 375 (the one with internal transponder). The problem I’m having is figuring out the pinning from the 375 to the ARINC 429. For example which RS 232 pins to use, and do those go directly to the 429 or do they go from the 375 directly to the EFIS. Any help would be much appreciated. Dynon said to ask Garmin, Garmin said to ask Dynon....

I'm planning a 175 to HDX and worked out the connections as follows.

GPS175-J1751 <---> ARINC-D25
--------------------------------------
#5 ARINC 429 OUT 1A <---> #23 ARINC 1 RX A
#6 ARINC 429 OUT 1B <---> #11 ARINC 1 RX B
#9 RS232 Out 1 <---> #3 Serial Port RX
#27 ARINC 429 IN 1A <---> #24 ARINC TX A
#28 ARINC 429 IN 1B <---> #12 ARINC TX B

The RS232 is only TX out of the Garmin. I assume that the 375 uses the same connector and pinouts as the 175. This hasn't been vetted by anyone, so use it only after double checking it.

Are you only using one of the pins for the RS 232 Tx out of the Garmin? There are 3 linked together but it looks like pin#5 is for transmit. Also what is the D25 you are connecting your Garmin to? I assumed it would have to be a Dynon 429. Thank you for your replies, this is super helpful!

The ARINC-429 only needs RS232 RX, there is no TX on the D25 connector (on the Dynon 429 module).

If you haven't already, check out Figure 155 on page 12-6 in the latest SkyView System Installation Guide (rev AG). It has a generic diagram, this is what I used to determine my pinouts.

I haven't connected this up, I hope to buy the GPS175 in the spring. I got the connector details from Garmin support.
