VR regulating M bus at 13 volts, E bus at 14?

mobe-e-duck

I'm New Here
Bought an RV-12, already built. Has had some minor wiring and electronics kinks to work out. One of them is that the M bus is getting 13 volts and the E bus is getting 14. It has the IBBS, an odyssey battery and a Silent Hektik voltage regulator.

Also I had a Tx power problem with my radio after some time. I am very much not an electrical whiz and I'd love to know what's going on with my system.

A diode in the circuit will drop up to one volt or so depending
on the type of diode and the current flowing through it.

Ninety nine percent of RV-12s do not have an E-Bus.
Your electrical system is unique. Only the builder knows how it was wired.

To add my 2 cents, to post #'s 2 and # 4 , and after looking up “IBBS”. The voltage difference you are seeing (may be) the internal system voltage of the “IBBS”. So you will have to review how the “IBBS” works. And how it works in your airplane.
My ½ cents idea, on testing your, E- buss system, is to do a system test.
And one way to test, is to go out for a local flight, and come back to your home airport and land and to shut down your engine, and leave the E-buss on, and see how """long"""" E-buss, keeps your radio and back up navigational System working.

IMHO-IMBW,,,,,,in my humble opinion,i may be wrong
good day / rick
