Only if the aircraft meets the requirements of 45.22(b). The aircraft must be at least 30 years old or be a replica of an aircraft at least 30 years old and be certificated under 21.191(d) or 21.191(g). No paperwork involved.
The RV-3, -4, -6, and -6A qualify.
