carb nut safety wire? / exhaust nut torque?

Hello group,

For those flying carb engines - how did you secure the carb nuts - just lock washer or drilled the nuts for safety wire?

Also, do you torque the exhaust to 100 - 140 in/lbs as with other AN5 bolt apps? I did this and the star lock washers are smashed. Should I use a different lock washer style for the exhaust?

Thanks all,

Jeff

Carb Nuts/saftey Wire

You Can Purchase The Screws With A Safety Wire Hole Alread In Them. If You Are Making Reference To The Carb Assembly Then Use The Bendable Lock Washer Specific For This Use.

I used hardened socket head screws and drilled them for safety wire.

The socket heads are easier the drill than the hex.

my 2 cents
