Oil Quick Drain Valve

Hi,

Thinking of installing a Oil Quick Drain Valve in my RV14A. Possibly the Van's valve.

Am I correct in saying that the lower cowl does not need to be removed in order to change the oil.

How does this system work ie access to the valve from outside of the lower cowl.

Any information would be welcome.

John

Sorry

NOT Accessible without cowl off. Purpose is quick easy oil drain. Also allows a hose to attach to the “nipple” .

John,

You will still have to remove the lower cowl with the quick drain and you can take advantage of the opportunity to visually inspect everything.

The quick drain is definitely worth it. Ours is installed forward starboard position.
