G3XT / GTX45R "XPDR FAULT" - Failure Messages

Mountain Time

Occasionally I'll get a "XPDR FAULT" alert on the G3XT, and the GTN-650 then has messages stating "Datalink FIS-B weather has failed" and "Datalink ADS-B in fault: UAT receiver." Usually this has occurred when the panel powers up, and a reboot clears it, but today it appeared in flight.

Any Garmin gurus out there with ideas on what is going on? I'm reading it as indicating a failure in some component of the ADS-B receiver on my end, as opposed to a problem with the signal coming in. Since the GTX45R has ADS-B out on the 1090ES side I've figured its still OK to fly, and there are no obvious problems that I can see in normal operations.

Any ideas much appreciated!

John (almost ready for IFR checkride.... I think :))
