Grove gear intersection fairings

I?d appreciate any photos or ?how to? from builders on their upper intersection fairings. I have not found any aftermarket fairing that will work with the Grove gear so I will be fabricating them over the next few days.

Thanks,
Carl

Thanks! I was wondering the same thing...in the process of installing the Grove gear and was quite surprised to see the larger parts!

Nothing a little Dremmel action couldn't handle...but now I have to cover it up!

Bought my fairings here...I have grove gear.

My fairings fit great with a little tweaking.

Second vote for fairings etc. Here is the fit out of the box with out any real fitting work.

If you are going to purchase from Fairings etc. Send and email to Steve Barnes and tell him you want the fairings for the Grove Gear. I'm quite sure they have both, but were able to ship and sell me the right ones. I can't find any pictures of them painted, but overall, I was pleased with how they came out and my plane flew .625 kts faster!

Stu also added this video for a roll your own with grove gear and they are quite nice.

I've bought all sorts of fairings and fairing etc is probably best I've tried. However no fairing is going to be perfect. Especially with the 8 gear that actually requires the builder to align it. Good thing is these Grove gear don't move very much. Rolling your own isn't that hard.

Hope it helps.

Rod,

I talked to Steve at Fairings-Etc and ordered a set of his Grove gear specific fairings.

Should arrive next week.
