First Flight of a different sort

The airplane's first flight was pretty cool, but the first flight with the first grandchild is pretty incredible too.

Also my daughter and son-in-law got to come along.



As many have said, these airplanes we spend so much time and energy on are more about people than aluminum - the people we meet, those with whom we share our passion for building and flying, and the loved ones we get to see more often because of the blessing of having such a magic carpet. Put me down as one thankful grandpa.

Oh, and did I mention that I'm really glad I built a plane with four seats?

My daughter started flying at 2mo, in a buddys plane, just got her first flight in the RV last weekend-------at age 25.

I love to look back there on the long cross countrys and see them fast asleep.

Very cool! One thing that many people don't realize is that the "excessive" legroom in the back seat of the RV-10 makes it great for rear-facing infant seats, as you found out.
