Teknofibra Fire Sleeve, Tape and Firewall products

Hello folks,

Has anyone used any of the Teknofibra products and know if it lives up to the hype?
I assume you could probably do their butane torch on your hand trick with standard fiber glass heat shield as well and I understand that you can melt a penny in your hand covered with that blown in borate treated cellulose insulation but the Teknofibra does look light, thin and the sound proofing aspect could be a bonus?
I am thinking of using the tape as an extra layer of protection on critical areas.

Looks interesting. If you decide to order some, send an 18" x 24" panel here and I'll give it a run on the burn rig.

Although the demo with the little torch is fun to watch, the FAA standard is 2000F over 25 sq inches, for 15 minutes.

While doing so, it must withstand an air flow of 2 lbs per second or more. At 5000 feet that's about 30 cubic feet per second. It's real windy under the cowl, so fiber can't be fragile. It's one reason to place the fiber insulator behind a sheet of SS foil, not aluminum foil. At 2000F, aluminum foil is gone.
