Pitot always needs to be on?

G3x and Garmin heated pitot.
Within 3 minutes of taking off, I keep getting alert that my pitot needs to be turned on. If I do turn it on, alert goes away. This is the case even if I’m flying in 70 F temps.
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Tom Hanaway

too much automation. I'd call Dynon. Curious what it uses for input. I assume OAT is one. Why it alerts at 70F I don't know.

Just me

Funny i just turn mine on after takeoff and leave it on. I don't think it hurts anything to be left on.

There are several ways to control the pitot logic, assuming you have the regulated version of the pitot heat. Similar logic if you have a G3X Touch.

Followed Cannon’s suggestion and checked my config. Already set to the third one he recommended.
Active low and pitot temp.

Any other suggestions?
