Pre-Purchase Checklist?

Any recommendations on where to find an RV (or general Experimental) pre-purchase inspection/sale checklist?

I found the Van's Website link about "wanting to buy an RV", any other source out there for a checklist?

Thanks,
Bob

Most important: Find a local RV builder (who preferably doesn't know the seller) to look over the plane. A checklist is good, but it is way more useful to have an RV type check over the plane for you - they will quickly see quality or problems.

Talk to the builder

IMHO the most important thing is to talk to the builder, I've looked over several in the last couple of years, all were in sound shape - its quite difficult to screw these airplanes up structurally. But the attitude of the builder is key, so talk to him and find out what makes him tick. If you are on the same wavelength there's a good chance you'll like the airplane he built. The good RVs go very quickly (some don't ever get advertised), so ensure you are ready to make a deal when you start looking. Good luck, you won't regret it.
