2020 marks S12 (Albany Muni - Albany, Oregon) 100th anniversary. Albany airport was founded way back when by a 13 year-old lad and his brother. They saved their pennies and built an airplane and then asked a local farmer if they could use his field to fly from. That field became the Albany airport and then became the municipal airport.
We will be celebrating the airport's 100th birthday this year in our annual Art & Air Festival in August.
It would be great to have as many PNW RVrs fly their airplanes in during the event. Albany is about 45 minutes south of the mother ship by car or 15 minutes by air.
