Source for unthreaded engine propeller flange lugs

My reduction gear prop flange has 3/8" ID unthreaded (5/8" OD) lugs.

The Performance Propeller prop I just got has 7/16" prop bolt holes.

Saber Mfg has 7/16" threaded lugs (6 for $168).
Aircraft Spruce has 7/16" unthreaded lugs for $30.70 each ($185).

Do you know of any source for less expensive unthreaded 7/16" lugs?

Get the Saber Lugs

Finn, the threadded lugs will allow shorter bolts, IMO it's worth the 168.00. The shorter the bolt the better on a prop. Plus, much easier to Torque from a maintenance standpoint.

Thanks Frank.

Actually I was hoping it would make it possible to check the torque without removing the spinner. I guess it depends on how snugly the bolts fit and if they turn when the nut is turned. But maybe I don't know how to check torque. I thought you'd just put a torque wrench on the nuts and see that it clicks or shows the specified value. Or do you need to back off the nuts and turn them till it clicks?

It's best to loosen the bolts then retorque. Plus it's best to torque in a star pattern, hard to do(more time consuming) with the cowl on.
