Cherrymax rivets

I had to order an oops rivet for a 5/32 diameter hole I upsized. I got the MSP-54 rivet from AS and installed it. The tail of the river is much longer than I anticipated and much longer than the standard tails for similar holes. Is this normal for Cherry max rivets or should they be about same length?
 
A picture would help.

Two possibilities:

Rivet not fully set or longer than appropriate for hole. Photo will make it easy to tell.
 
I am more familar with the “CR” series Cherrymax rivets but that looks long. I would check grip range of the rivet versus your material thickness
 
Process for drilling out is about the same, you might need to hold the back of the rivet with some pliers to keep it from spinning. I bought some Vampliers that have come in handy for pulling rivet tails after drilling them out, both pop and driven rivets:
