Professional Assistance?

I hired an avionics shop to do my Garmin installation, plus wiring. Does the FAA care about this, since I am the builder?
Do I need to list the avionics shop on the form Eligibility Statement Amateur-Built Aircraft?

You don't need to list this as "paid assistance" as instruments/avionics are exempt from the 51% rule.

Other exempt items include engine, prop, upholstery, and paint.
