Andair Fuel Valve (DV125) question

I received my Andair fuel valve (DV125), and there is safety wire on the top end of the drain valve (the end that screws up inside the gascolator bowl). Are you supposed to remove that safety wire? Im assuming the o-ring is on the valve that is under the safety wire, although I cant see the o-ring.

Anyone else have experience with this Andair drain valve? I have emailed them, but haven't heard back yet.

Hello,
No, don’t remove the safety wire unless you are going to replace the O-ring.
The O-ring goes onto the plunger, attached is a drawing to show where it goes.
