RV14-EXP

The new RV-14 drag reduction appears to mirror my RV-8, no surprise given the two airplanes share a similar cooling mass requirement, banishment of the 'coal shovel" exit, and the addition of a center-hinged variable exit door.

Given the -8's recessed exit ramp, I don't think there would be much point in going to dual exits like the exhaust pipe fairings on the new 14 cowl. However, I would consider it on an A-model, and definitely do it on a 7A or 9A, with or without the door.
