GARMIN 335 configuration

Have read and re-read the configuration portion of the 335 installation manual.
Seems a bit confusing to me.
I will be using a Dynon D100 RS232 in for my altitude source.
Was wondering if there were any suggestions from y'all to make the configuration simpler.
I am aware of the "wizard" that is available but I was thinking about just doing it from the unit panel.
Thoughts?

Once you figure out how to navigate the menus, it?s not hard. The altitude will be RS232 as Icarus.

In Flight

The 335 has several ways to know when it is in flight. My professionally installed 335 failed the first FAA test because it didn't recognize when I was on the ground. It turned out that you had to configure NO squat switch AND squat switch Normally Open to get it to work right.
