When all is said and done, the trim tabs donít travel equally, by design. Theyíre not supposed to. Thereís a definite difference in their travel, by design.

High step?

How many of you, as you age, have found the step kinda high? My -10 is right at knee level, making it a ‘big’ step, to lift my weight.

How’ bout a portable step to halve the climb?

Lost medical

Hi guys/gals
Last fall, after 46 seasons of ag work and never flunking a medical, both kidneys quit and I squeaked by the undertaker.

I told the FAA that I was taking dialysis three times a week but...

What sort of sawhorses for the wings?

Well, my -12 wings will be shipped in a couple of months and In order to be ready,, I'll need to build some sawhorses. Any advice on dimensions, caveats, etc would be appreciated.

Buyer beware

Years ago, winglets were made available for our Air Tractor ag airplanes, by an aftermarket supplier, claiming all sorts of benefits including reduced drag, reduced drift, etc.

Problem solved

My friend, Ray Lawrence in Sandersville Ga has cowlings and motor mounts for the -12,-6, -7 and -8 RV's, and is the UL importer with a 200 hp 6 cylinder UL in his -4.

Call him at Kaolin Aviation 478...

It's quite a piece of work. The fuel tanks were moved out around three feet so the gear could have space to retract into. The inboard three feet of leading edge was also swept forward (Like a P-51),...

Free horizontal stabilizer/vertical fin

I have an RV-4 horizontal stabilizer and vertical fin. Free but must pick up here in Louisville, Ga (2J3). Some of the rivets are not quite flush on the stab and may or may not need to be addressed....

Your mixture gets quite a bit richer as you climb but you can't see it with steam gauges. I have a Dynon EMS and keep leaning to the same egt as on takeoff.

I was amazed at how much you can lean....

All Air Tractor models have an "On" and "Off" position....both tanks always feed. The fix is a header tank in the belly of the airplanes, which is where the fuel is fed from, whether one tank is...

Used 0-320 cylinders

My stepson has 4 high time 0-320 cylinders that we thought of scrapping. the scrap yard only offered .10c/lb or $1.90 each!

Do you guys know of any shops that buy and overhaul used cylinders?...
