SafeAir1 Fittings

I need to buy some extra pitot/static tube fittings and went to the SafeAir1 site and each time I click on an item I get an error message.

I tried Avery Tool but see that they recently closed the business.

Tried Spruce but couldn't find the fittings.

Does anyone know of a source and the correct name for these fittings?

Little Help!

Stein has them. They are quick disconnect fittings. http://www.steinair.com/store.cfm?tlcatid=43
Cleveland Tools also has some. http://www.cleavelandtool.com

I have been unable to find the safeair website either. It used to be Safeair1.com.

It looks like Cleaveland carries 2 line Safe Air kit

http://www.cleavelandtool.com/Plumbing-Kit-Steam-Gauge/productinfo/SA-A3/

As well as the Dynon 3-line system
http://www.cleavelandtool.com/Plumbing-Kit-SkyView/productinfo/SA-A1/

And also a lot of parts
http://www.cleavelandtool.com/Static-System/products/110/

Dynon sells a kit that includes an AOA line, available directly from Dynon or from Aircraft Spruce.

https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/inpages/averytookforskyview.php?clickkey=3014028

And Steinair sells a kit with 3 lines and smaller Static port fittings than the Dynon kit
https://www.steinair.com/product/pitot-static-tubing-port-kit/

I found a couple of special fittings for my pitot tube here:

https://www.mettleair.com/store/ptcimg

Not sure if comparable in every way to SafeAir but I saw them used by another builder. I couldn't find the specific 90 degree fitting I wanted anywhere else (I do have the kit from Cleaveland but wanted a specific fitting not available there).

Have extra

I have a couple of extra fittings from my build that I would like to pass on. Make me an offer. Anything reasonable.

Pitot static fittings

I also have a bunch left over from my AFS EFIS installation.
Let me know what you need.

just curious about the difference...

Home Depot and Lowes have these in the plumbing aisle. What is the difference? These are critical parts so, like bolts, I buy from from an aviation source with a valid lot tracking system.

But HD and Lowes do sell these. What is the difference, material, quality...Maybe they do not sell the proper size?

UPDATE on Coast Pneumatics -

The web site is not clear, but you cannot buy single items even though they are listed - bulk orders only (250 minimum) or buy the packages listed separately in their web site.

Given this, it's just as easy to buy straight from the manufacturer - Clippard - at the same price -

http://www.clippard.com/part/PQ-EU08-PKG

They carry a wide selection of push on air fittings.

https://www.coastpneumatics.com/buy-online.html

And the fittings listed are good, made in the USA, Clippard fittings. I'm using them with this Clippard polyurethane tubing - https://www.coastpneumatics.com/root/clippard-URT1-0805-BLT-050

I wish I had this link earlier since they sell smaller quantities than the factory. :)

The late Buck Clippard, a retired Pan-Am pilot, was one of the original company owners and was an Airpark neighbor here in Tucson.

SafeAir1 Mast

Hi all,

I've finally got back to building after a loooong time ... and as it turns out, i've screwed up my SafeAir1 pitot mast (over countersunk screw holes) - however, i can seem to locate the site. Does anyone know if they're still in business or where i can get a replacement.

Many thanks,

Matt

SafeAir1 no longer exists. You can find the mast at Cleveland Tools
