Great trip this Saturday from Southwest Mississippi to Blytheville Arkansas HKA to meet up with Fred Meyer and His friend Jim. Fred flew from Chicago to Indianapolis in his RV 8 then he and Jim flew Jims F1 from Indy to Blytheville. Jims F1 is unique in that he put a Harmon Rocket tilt over canopy on it instead of the Team Rocket slider. He also shortened the gear legs 3" to eliminate the wobbly legs all rockets exhibit. Flight up and back took me directly over MEM. On the way home was in the middle of a FedEX push and got to fly at 10,500 feet in formation with a FedEX "heavy" 3 miles off my left wing and 500' low. KKinda neat being able to keep pace on a jumbo jet at least till they lifted his speed restriction and cleared him to FL2?0 All in all a great trip, great day and got to see another F1 built by one of the early builders.
