Fuselage weight question

I'm gonna use an engine crane to help me pick the fuselage up and get it on a bench to put the gear on but wanted to know if anyone has ever weighed a fuselage with canopy on so I know if I can use the lower weight higher extension portion of my boom. I can't really imagine it's over 500lbs but she's gotten beefy.

I have to imagine a ton of the empty weight comes from the engine and gear alone and that's only 1200ish. I'd take the canopy off, but I have no where I can safely put it :/

If you dont have the landing gear on it, you are well clear of 500 imo.

What's the average empty weight on a 14? Whatever it is, 400 pounds of that is engine and prop. Probably closer to 450 by the time you get all the accessories on it and add 2 gallons of oil.
