Got about 60 hours on mine now on my RV4 and absolutely love it. Converted from a 2 blade metal fixed pitch. You are going to be even more happy with the flight performance!!!
Did you top speed suffer at all, and do you like it better for acro? Running a fixed pitch wood sensenich but will want to make a change in the next year or so
I was running a 2 blade metal FP and actually picked up about 2 mph on the top end with it. Obviously the acceleration is better. I definitely like it better for acro because the braking action of a constant speed helps with the speed control on the down lines. other then the serious lightening of my wallet I haven't found a single negative aspect from the change.
When you swap, do a really good job of figuring out your new best glide. I see a lot of posters say thier best glide is around 90-95 knots. With this prop in fine pitch, a 95 knot glide puts us in about a 35 degree dive. It's an aggressive amount of aero braking.
