Do both the impulse coupled and non-impulse coupled magnetos on the Lyc IO540 use spacer blocks between the mag and accessory case?

I have worked on more 4 cylinder Lycoming engines than 6 cylinder. Typically on 4 cylinder Lycoming engines I have seen the spacer only used on impulse mags.

Looking through several 540 parts manuals, I found one manual that has one impulse mag and one non-impulse mag. Both mags have a spacer but each spacer or adapter has a different part number.
