Hi Guys

Working on the fuel pick-up for the fuel tank and just completed bending the 3/8 alum tubing to the correct shape and made the anti rotation bracket.

I notice that some people have used a AN 818 nut that has with hole so that lock wire can be used to prevent it coming loose. This seems to be a good idea.

Problem is that I can't find any for sale eg Vans, ACS and locally in Australia Etc. It should be a code AN818-L6W instead of AB818-6D.

Any thoughts

Thanks

Kevin

There is a service bulletin https://www.vansaircraft.com/service-information-and-revisions/sb-06-2-23/ for this that says for the builder to drill the hole in a standard AN nut.

Alternatively, you can purchase from Vans a bracket that acts as both an anti-rotation anchor for the tube as well as a locking device for the nut. It is part number T-715 from the Vans store, shipping via USPS will cost around $15, more than the part!
