In about 300h of flight I experience 2 backfiring on my RV 14A.
First time at about 30h of flight I guess it was in the exhaust but the second time 2 week ago I am sure it is in the induction because I saw the smoke and air filter is slightly bent.
Each time it's happen after a short stop for refueling.
Have any of you had this problem?
Best regards

Yes Georges, I had this happen once. The trick seems to be to make sure your "hot start" technique is good. There are lots of threads on this, but what works for me 100% of the time is full throttle, mixture cut, and then crank. When it starts, quickly move the throttle back and the mixture forward. You have to be quick, and this technique is not for everyone, but works great for me.
